5 DIYs + Tips for A Cozy Fall Home

Fall is one of those seasons where you just have to bring a little coziness and spice to your home – whether that be simply adding a few throw blankets, or by mixing up a cider & donuts EO blend in your diffuser! Personally, I do both – and a couple more.

It is so easy to create a warm and welcoming environment in your home that also celebrates the season, so here are some DIYs, ideas, and more to help you do that!

1. Dried orange garland

This is one of my favorite ways to decorate for holiday seasons! Not only is it fun to make, but it gives such a vibrant, homemade, and slightly boho look to the home. I love hanging my orange garlands in the kitchen, along the windows, above a fireplace, or anywhere else. They look especially nice with greenery and pumpkins!

2. Throw pillows + blankets

Nothing says fall like snuggling up with a warm blanket! Cozy decorations, especially blankets and pillows, add a friendliness and warmness to a home and really complete the look! Gingham, terra cotta, yellow, and cream are all cute fall colors and go well with a lot of different things – if you have more of a budget too, check out Urban Outfitters super cute pillows and blankets!

3. Fall scented diffuser blends

Having a home that smells like pure pumpkin spice or cider & donuts can beat any decorations anytime for me. I love using Essential Oils for making my home smell good, as they’re all natural, beneficial for you health, and (in my opinion) way better smelling than candles! Also make this EO scented “poopourri” to freshen up bathrooms, linens, and more!

4. Beeswax candles + Fairy lights

Although I don’t use scented candles, pure beeswax candles are still wonderful options to give the home a warm and cozy atmosphere! (Plus, beeswax actually has a really lovely smell!). And of course, fairy lights are a must have for stringing across fireplaces, dressers, tables, and more!

5. Baking!

Really, Hope, baking? YES! Imagine a warm spice filled house with plates of heaping baked treats and pumpkin filled goodness- baking will most definitely make your home feel like fall (and smell like ti!) and having a little plate of homemade goodies on your table or counter will definitely be welcoming for guests and family!

I hope that these 5 DIYs and tips inspired you to create your own little haven of fall coziness in your home! Have you ever made an orange garland before? What do you plan on making for you home? Let me know your thoughts + questions in the comments below!
