Chilly, crisp, (and sometimes rainy) fall mornings call for steaming cups of tea (or coffee), the perfect diffuser blend, and warm, pumpkin-spiced breakfasts. Nothing can beat that warm feeling in your tummy when you take that first bite (or drink)- even though your nose may be cold and the colorful fading leaves outside are frosted from the night before. It’s quite magical, honestly. And the breakfast recipes listed below will give you just that feeling of satisfaction and warmth, and make your taste buds dance with the flavors of fall.
On a second thought; have you ever noticed that you just feel happier and more satisfied when you eat foods that match up with the season? I know that my body definitely feels more fulfilled and nourished when I eat in-season foods and spices. The crazy thing is, there is actually a reason behind that! (And it’s not just the hype of pumpkin spice lattes). Seasonal foods nourish your body specifically for that season and everything that comes with it. I talk a little bit about that in this post about immune boosting foods for fall/winter. So when you feel an urge for a certain in-season food (e.g. squash, sweet potatoes, apples, etc.), then eat it! (As long as it’s not junk food and candy bars- you know what I mean). Your body knows what’s best for it and what it needs to keep you healthy, so it will give you signals to eat certain foods so that you can nourish it with the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that it needs.
Now, get prepared for your mouth to start watering, because not only are these recipes DELICIOUS, autumn inspired, and spiced, but they’re also healthy, nourishing, and oh-so-satisfying. Each recipe is linked so that you can get straight down to business (“to defeat the Huns” – sorry I couldn’t resist!), to makin these bad boys!
1. Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls (vegan)

If the picture doesn’t speak for itself (which is impossible), these apple pie cinnamon rolls are fall bliss. Warm, sweet, full of spice and sugar, and melting glaze, these are definitely a must! We even used the apples from our apple tree harvest this year and it made it even more amazing, knowing that a little piece of autumn’s nature was in it!
2. Warm Chai Spiced Chia Pudding with Cinnamon Apples

So easy to make and so full of flavor, this warm chia pudding is a huge step up from regular chia pudding. You don’t have to wait hours for it to be ready, and it is so much better warm in my opinion! The glazed cinnamon apples and almond butter were absolute perfection on top too – this is the perfect quick and warm fall breakfast!
3. Breakfast Sweet Potato (with spiced apples & nut butter)

If you’ve never heard of breakfast sweet potatoes before, you might think that I’m crazy – but trust me, they. are. so. good! Because they’re sweet and warm, sweet potatoes make the perfect base for all kinds of toppings – especially when they are spiced and sweet!
4. Healthy Fall Muffin Recipes
Carrot cake on the left, honey cinnamon walnut in the middle, and pumpkin chocolate on the right. Don’t these just make your mouth water?! These healthy and delicious muffin recipes are all from one of my favorite food blogs, Ambitious Kitchen. Drizzle a glaze or slice of butter on one of these bad boys, and *mwahh* perfection.
5. Healthy Apple Crisp

Basically just a fancy version of apples and granola, this low sugar apple crisp is the guilt free autumn-lover’s breakfast hands down. Add a little bit of coconut cream and cinnamon to make a warm, sweet, and satisfying breakfast!
I hope that you enjoyed these 5 yummy fall breakfast recipes! Let me know in the comments below if you try them out and fall in love with them too! 🍂🍯
