Hydrating + Refreshing Summer Drink Recipes

It’s been warming up so much lately, and with the sun comes all things summery – including hydration! I’ve been working on my tan every day now that the sun is out, and I’m slowly inching closer to my goal of being brown by the end of summer (it’s gonna happen!). As I’ve been laying out in the sun and spending lots of time doing things outside, drinking a good amount of water has been super important for staying hydrated and healthy throughout the day.

I’m not gonna lie, drinking water by itself isn’t the most delicious or fun thing ever. So lately, I’ve experimented with adding natural flavors and fruits to my water and can I just say, YUM! It makes drinking water sooo much easier when you add just a couple of natural ingredients. By using these water recipes below, I’ve been drinking 3-4 24oz Yetis of water a day – which is 72-96 oz of water! That’s pretty crazy, especially since I’m not forcing it down my throat.

I hope that these yummy water recipes inspire you to get your hydration on and get your tan on!

Some tips + suggestions for the water recipes

  • Sparkling water makes it 100% better. Plain water is completely fine, but if you have sparkling water on hand, I would definitely opt for using it as it makes the drinks extra yummy!
  • Stevia is the perfect natural sweetener. I use this for ALL of my drinks including my whipped matcha and coffee, and I really love its natural and zero calorie benefits as well!
  • Feel free to add ACV to any of the drink recipes! Apple cider vinegar is amazing for your health and has benefits including alkalizing, detoxing, weight loss, and healthy skin. It also surprisingly adds a lemonade taste when added. The taste may be strong if you’re not used to it, so start by adding a teaspoon or two and then increase as you like.
  • These water flavor recipes are made for a 24oz cup – adjust as you like! I like to use a big 24oz YETI cup or glass mason jar for all of my water recipes as it holds a ton more and gets me to drink more water. Feel free to adjust the recipes and water amounts as you like!

    • Thank you! Haha you are so not weird for liking water by itself – that’s actually really good! And that’s so cool that you’re getting a soda stream! Having continuous sparkling water at my use would be a dream come true haha. I’m so glad that you liked this Crystal, thanks for commenting 😊

  1. These ideas sound great! I like drinking my water plain, but it never hurts to switch things up a bit. 😉 I am a huge fan of sparkling water. Oh, it is so good! However, I am definitely going to try these ideas!
