We all have seasons in our life where things change, hurt happens, when you feel stuck and stagnant, and when you just don’t feel God’s presence.
But thank you Jesus that though the seasons change, His love remains. No matter what you’re going through, no matter how stuck, how overwhelmed, or how hopeless you feel, God tells you that if you love Him, He is always with you. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.

Isn’t that so cool? Doesn’t it just overwhelm you, flood over you with awe? The One who breathed out the stars and designed snowflakes knows every hair on your head, and is with you. Always. Forever. Without fail. Not just with you, but empowering you, strengthening, you, upholding you.

Even if you don’t feel His presence, He’s there.
He’s holding your hand, collecting your tears, and singing over you. Psalm 56:8, “You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?”. How intimate is that? He knows every tear we’ve ever cried and every feeling, moment, and season we’ve ever been through- good or bad. These seasons we’re going through, the pain, the waiting, the confusion, the doubt, it’s all for a reason. No tear is ever waisted, nothing that happens to you is without a purpose.

God isn’t just with you during seasons of waiting and tears, but He’s preparing something beautiful for you.
Don’t just hope that you’ll get through it, but be joyful in it. Why? It’s an opportunity for growth. James 1:2-4 says, “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

And how beautiful is this truth that God promises us because of His love for us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”(Jeremiah 29:11). In the waiting, in the confusion, in the blurriness of your tears, He’s creating something beautiful from it, something full of hope and abundance for you and your future.
So be joyful and have hope.
For, “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17.

He is with you, delighting over you, holding you, comforting, you, and so so in love with you. This season you’re in will pass. And a new one will come. After winter there is spring, after rain there are flowers. Learn from it, grow through it, and trust Jesus because his intentions for you are always good and out of love.
